Tribal Libraries Workshop

Register today for the Tribal Libraries Committee's 2017 workshop: "Explore the American Experience Online". If you work with researchers, writers, teachers, or students, this workshop will expand your list of go-to websites that include unique primary sources that help tell our many American stories. The expert presenters will explore a variety of pieces of history, from statistics to sheet music, diaries to daguerreotypes. Sequoyah Author Pre-Conference - Register NOW!

The Oklahoma Library Association Sequoyah Book Award Author Celebration to honor Shelley Coriell for her book Goodbye, Rebel Blue, which is the 2016 winner of the Intermediate Sequoyah Award, will be held at 10:00 a.m., April 24, during the OLA Annual Conference at the National Center for Employee Development in Norman. Book signing will follow the award presentation. To make reservations, please complete the reservation form.

iCon 2017 - Call for Proposals

Calling all techies, technophiles, and librarians who are excited to teach about all things tech! OLA’s biannual iCon is now accepting program proposals for the 2017 conference. iCon 2017 will be held August 10th-11th at Rose State College. We are looking for presenters from all types of libraries to show off their technical know-how and showcase the latest tech tools available. Submit your proposal today! Submissions must be received by March 15, 2017 for consideration.

Sequoyah Book Award Voting Now Underway!

Voting for the 2017 recipients of the Sequoyah Book Awards began on February 1 and will end on March 15. The winning authors and their books will be announced no later than March 31.  Click here to vote!

Ruth Brown Award

In honor of Ruth Brown's courageous efforts to integrate public library service in the town of Bartlesville, OLA's Social Responsibilities Roundtable has established an annual award celebrating programs that address social issues or ones devoted to serving underserved populations.
