Turning Copywrongs into Copyrights Redux
Sponsor: University and College Division

Date: Monday, April 24
Time: 9:00-4:30 pm
Location: Salon N

Pre-conference description:
This preconference will help librarians from academic, public, and school libraries learn more about the copyright issues that they might encounter in the course of their daily jobs, including what libraries and librarians may legally do, and what our patrons may do. It will expand upon topics discussed at the UCD workshop on copyright from February 2016, so those who could not attend and those who did attend will both benefit from this discussion. Topics will include copyright and digital scholarship, online courses, performing arts resources, and an overview of the legal copyright issues facing academic libraries and university environments.

Speakers:
John Price, Board of Regents' Legal Counsel, Oklahoma State University

Tara Carlisle, Digital Scholarship Specialist, University of Oklahoma Libraries

Sarah Clayton, Digital Scholarship Specialist, University of Oklahoma Libraries

Beth Fleming, Oklahoma City University Library
