Teen Summit
Sponsor: Oklahoma School Librarians

Date: Monday, April 24
Time: 12:30-4:30 pm
Location: Salon JKL

Pre-conference description:
Teen Summit III: Get Lit! The teen summit pre-conference will focus on selecting, promoting, and identifying trends in YA lit. Participants will meet publishers, teachers and librarians who are experts in young adult literature and hear about hot titles, upcoming trends in fiction and how to connect teens with current literature. Librarians attending this workshop will have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with one another and build a network of young adult librarians across the state. At the end of this pre-conference, librarians will have a new excitement and perspective for young adult literature, have knowledge of future trends in YA lit and how they are identified by publishers and innovators in the industry, and have an established network of fellow librarians to provide support, generate programming and literature ideas, gather feedback and collaborate successfully with outside your own library walls.
