Boomers, and X-ers, and Echoes! Oh, my…
Sponsor: Administration Roundtable
There's no question that today's workforce is highly diverse and the variety
of generations found there adds to the mix. Most prevalent are the "Baby
Boomer," while the number of "Gen X-ers" is rising, and "Echo Boomers" and
"Traditionalist" round out the mixture. This program will profile these
generations and provide tips for improving on-the-job relationships.

Merchandizing Your Library
Sponsor: PLD
Books just sitting on the shelves? Well get them moving and you won’t ever
have to weed for low circs again! Merchandising Your Library is the place to be
to learn how to get those languishing books off the shelves and into the hands
of readers. Learn how to “sell” your materials, get the most bang for your
display buck and use the space you have to its best advantage. Creative juices
will flow and you will learn how to use “at hand” items to transport your
library to the “Land of Awes.” Entice new users into your library, tempt
regular customers to a new genre or author and take pleasure in seeing old
classics enjoy a new life. You’ll be excited to get back to your library to
strut your stuff!
