The Diary of a Young Girl	Anne Frank	All	Religious viewpoint	Superintendent and Principal met with English teacher to request book not be taught in the next school year after complaints by a parent concerning promoting Jewish religion.
All I Want is Everything	Cecily von Ziegerar	-	Sexually Explicit and Unsuited to Age Group.	Book retained in YA collection of public library.
Gossip Girls	Cecily von Ziegerar	YA	Sexually Explicit, Offensive Language and Drugs.	Voted 3 to 2 to keep the book on the shelf, but removed the AR quiz.
Manga: Masters of the Art	Timothy Lehman	-	Book challenged for: Nudity and Sexually Explicit. Considered “degrading to women” and “pornographic”.	Book disappeared from Public Library, though it is still listed in the catalog.
The Catcher in the Rye	J.D. Salinger	High School	Book challenged for: Racism, Unsuited to Age Group, and Offensive Language. Parents didn’t think it was appropriate for a 9th grade class to be reading.	New administration, haven’t heard the outcome in this high school library.
Make Lemonade	Virginia Eywer Wolfe	-	Sexually Explicit, Unsuited to Age Group and Offensive Language.	The decision was made to restrict the book to middle school students only. This decision proved to be difficult because the elementary library and middle school students share the same library. Basically, the issue was never completely resolved and the book was pulled pending a better solution
Brother to Brother (film)	Rodney Evans, dir.	-	Homosexuality	Film retained in the collection of this public library.
