Oklahoma Librarian Information

The Oklahoma Librarian is the official bulletin of the Oklahoma Library Association. It is published six times per year. The inclusion of an article or advertisement does not constitute official endorsement by the Association.

SUBMISSIONS
Send submissions to editor@oklibs.org. The current editor is Janet Brennan Croft, Head of Access Services, University of Oklahoma. She can also be reached at jbcroft@ou.edu.

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
We do not accept book reviews, vendor press releases, or candidate statements. Articles can be any length. We encourage items like:

• news about special events and programs at Oklahoma Libraries (especially with pictures!)
• descriptions of innovative new services or cooperative ventures between libraries
• announcements about awards or scholarships won by Oklahoma librarians
• announcements of awards given by OLA or its units
• conference and workshop reports
• brief histories of notable libraries or librarians in the state
• legislation affecting libraries in Oklahoma

We also strongly encourage announcements of workshops and conferences, upcoming special events, and scholarships for which members may be eligible. Please note the publication deadlines carefully to make sure your event gets the best exposure.

We can accept pretty much any format of text or scanned picture. If you have a flyer for your event, we can reproduce it. Please be sure not to include someone else's copyrighted material unless you have the permission of the copyright holder.

DEADLINES
Deadlines are about two weeks before the cover date of each issue:

• For the January/February issue: December 15
• For the March/April issue: February 15
• For the May/June issue: April 15
• For the July/August issue: June 15
• For the November/December issue: August 15
• For the November/December issue: October 15
