Associate Dean of Libraries for Research and Instruction Services Rich Paustenbaugh and Norman Public Schools Director of Media Services & Instructional Technology Kathryn Lewis will lead a discussion about library skills. Attendees will be involved in the discussion and actively learning from peers.
Kathryn Roots Lewis is the Director of Media Services and Instructional Technology for Norman Public Schools in Norman, Oklahoma. Kathryn currently serves as Co-Chair of the OLA Endowment Committee. She is also the Chair-Elect of the Supervisor’s Section of the American Association of School Librarians. She served as OLA President in 2002-2003. Kathryn has served as chair and/or co-chair of the following OLA committees over the past decade: Awards Committee, Scholarship Committee, Long Range Planning Committee, Leadership Institute Committee, Budget Committee, and Interlibrary Cooperation Committee. She has served on the Nominating Committee for OASLMS (now OKSL). Kathryn is a Past President of Beta Phi Mu. Kathryn was named as the Oklahoma Library Association Library Legend for 2010. Kathryn is a Past President of the Oklahoma Technology Association (OTA) and currently serves on the OTA Board.
Rich Paustenbaugh completed his MLS from Indiana University in August of 1985. From July 1985 until May 2000 he was a librarian at IU’s Business SPEA Library. He began working at OSU in June of 1990, first serving as the head of the Social Sciences Division and then moving to his present position as the Associate Dean for Research and Instruction Services in 2005. At OSU Rich oversees the Public Services as well as the Collection Development efforts for the OSU Libraries.
