Library leader Donna Morris will facilitate a Master Class Discussion on talking to and influencing decision makers, i.e. mayors, city councils, boards, school administrators. Attendees will share in giving and asking for help/tips in dealing with their library's decision makers.
Donna Morris has served as Executive Director of the Metropolitan Library System since August 2002. Prior to being named executive director, Ms. Morris served as Deputy Director for over 10 years and also in many other different positions at MLS over her 40 year career with the system.
During her career with MLS she has been involved in the design, space planning, interior furnishing coordination and construction management of library projects and facilities with the most recent being the Ralph Ellison and Southern Oaks Library renovation projects, the design development and planning for the Northwest Library and the construction and completion of a new service center for support operations such as cataloging and processing. She has been involved in all aspects of the development, implementation, management and operations of library services and operations during her tenure.
