Joey Senat, Associate Professor, OSU School of Media & Strategic Communications
Dr. Joey Senat is an associate journalism professor at Oklahoma State University, where he teaches mass communication law. He has spoken at professional conferences on censorship concerns, is quoted frequently by the media on open government issues, and has been a frequent speaker at our state’s annual First Amendment Congress. He received the 2007 Marian Opala First Amendment Award and the Oklahoma Society of Professional Journalists’ Distinguished Service to the First Amendment Award in 2005. Dr. Senat is the author of Mass Communication Law in Oklahoma and has written a number of articles and papers regarding First Amendment and freedom of information issues.
