Public librarian turned academic ILL’er Karl G. Siewert shares what he learned in a six month crash course in Interlibrary Loan. Appropriate for ILL veterans and newbies alike.

Karl G. Siewert spent eleven years as a public librarian, providing reference and teen services, before moving to academia in April 2013. In the first six months of employment at Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow he had to learn three different Interlibrary Loan systems. He's currently working on a scholarly article about the differences between public and academic libraries.
