Debra Garrard-Foster, Assistant Extension Specialist, Department of Nutritional Sciences, Oklahoma State University
Debra Garrard-Foster began her career with the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service as a Home Economist in Pittsburg County in 1989. Additionally she served as the SW District Program Specialist for 3 ½ years. Since 2003, Debra has served as a specialist with the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service (OCES) in the Nutritional Sciences Department at OSU. As an OSU faculty member and OCES assistant state specialist, Debra is responsible for coordinating two USDA nutrition programs which include the Expanded Food and Nutrition Program (EFNEP) and the Oklahoma Nutrition Education (ONE) SNAP-Ed Program. Debra continues to be dedicated to teaching low-income families and youth skills to improve diets and the nutritional welfare of the whole family. She believes together we can all make a difference for Oklahoma families.
