Barbara Bannon, Human Resources Investments
As an organizational consultant, Barbara Bannon has spoken and/or consulted with over 500,000 people in Corporate America in her 25+ year career. Her last corporate position was with a Fortune 500 company where she was responsible for employee relations and recruiting and hiring for 900 headquarters employees, and training and organization development corporate-wide for about 6000 employees.
Barbara is the principal consultant of Human Resource Investments (HRI) a consulting and organization development company specializing in management and employee development. Her practice places special emphasis on conflict management/mediation, coaching, teambuilding, customer service training and diversity issues in the workplace. She founded HRI in February of 1990 after resigning from MAPCO.
She is an adjunct professor in the OSU Spears School of Business where she was recently recognized as an outstanding professor. Barbara is also a certified Ropes instructor and a practicing mediator who is certified through the Supreme Court of Oklahoma to facilitate Civil, Divorce and Parent/Child mediations.
In 2005 she was awarded the Paragon Award from Leadership Tulsa for outstanding community leadership. Additionally, she received the award for Outstanding Contributor in Training and Development from the Tulsa area ASTD chapter.
She has authored many articles and her most recent publication is a book entitled Risky Business, Overcoming Fear and Mastering the Art of Conflict Resolution.
