Marty Thompson, Retired
Marty is the retired Director of the University of Oklahoma Health Science, Robert M. Bird Health Sciences Library and Chair and Professor of the Department of Health Science Library and Information Management in the Graduate College since 1980 and was the Director of the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa, Health Science Center Library from 1976-1980. He has taught as an Adjunct Professor since 1980 for the University of Oklahoma, School of Library and information Studies. His association involvement has included the Medical Library Association, South Central Chapter, Oklahoma Library Association, South Central Academic Medical Library Consortia, and Oklahoma Council of Library Directors. He has been active in the National Network of Libraries of Medicine-South Central Office of the National Library of Medicine. His library degree is from the University of Oklahoma and he received a BA in Biology from Oklahoma City University. Marty lives in Norman and has two daughters.
