Share |

Date: Friday May, 1
Time: 11:00 am - noon
Sponsor: Oklahoma School Librarians (OKSL)

Participants will be prepared to teach students how to conduct a Mystery Skype using an inquiry based process that uses almanacs, maps, Google Apps for Education and other online resources such as Encyclopedia Britannica and World Book in order to determine locations of other schools by developing questions based on information that is given in real time.

Stacy FordStacy Ford has been a school teacher-librarian for six years, five of them at John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Norman, Oklahoma.  Stacy is co-chair of the Children's Sequoyah Reading Team, a past OKSL Secretary, 2014 OKSL Polly Clarke Award recipient and the 2014 Norman Public Schools Teacher of the Year.

Kelsey GourdMy name is Kelsey Gourd, also known as the dorky librarian. My days are spent teaching PK-5th grade students how to efficiently, effectively, and ethically use and share information in the 21st century at a rural elementary school in Norman, Oklahoma. When I’m not doing that, I am usually blogging about my school library adventures, reading and reviewing books, or watching Doctor Who re-runs.
