Amigos is building an e-book platform based on the Douglas County model. We have made changes to the model to include the number and types of libraries we expect to use this service, as well as adding functionality. Christine Peterson, the manager of this project, will discuss the issues we confronted and the changes that had to be made to make this a working service, as well as the development this is currently underway.
Christine Peterson is currently the project manager for the Amigos eShelf service, an ebook platform that provides ebooks to libraries. She also provides training, support and consulting services for Amigos member libraries in the areas of Internet and technology. Prior to joining Amigos, Christine worked for the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, San Antonio College and the Florida Institute of Technology.
