Looking for ideas to put a little magic into your middle school library? Add pizzazz with creative library programs, eye-catching display ideas, collaborative lessons, high energy contests, and "get them reading" marketing ideas that are sure to wow even the most cynical library critic. Leave with ideas you can use tomorrow.
Shelly Lee: I have been an educator for 17 years, 10 as a Special Education Teacher and the last 7 as a Library Media Specialist. I am actively involved with the Sequoyah State Book Award program and I am the Administration Team Chair Elect for 2016. In addition, I am also an Adjunct Instructor for UCO in the Instructional Media Education Department. I love what I do and truly believe being a Media Specialist is the best job in the school building!
Cindy Shaw: I was in the classroom 21 years, teaching first and second grades before moving to the middle school where I taught seventh grade Language Arts for 8 years. This is my eighth year as the library media specialist at Newcastle Middle School. I love the fact that I can mix my love of books and love of teaching.
