A panel of librarians and administrators from Oklahoma Schools will discuss effective strategies to gain the long lasting support and advocacy of their upper level administration.
Cecelia Brown has been a professor in the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Oklahoma since 2001. She holds a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois and an MLIS from the University of Oklahoma. Her teaching and research focus on the information-seeking behavior of scientists in the electronic environment as well as information literacy of science undergraduate and graduate students. Recently she has begun to study everyday health information behavior and how it relates to the fostering and promotion of health literacy. In 2010, she became the Director of the School of Library and Information Studies at OU where they are all about connecting people to information!
