We call all UCD members who are attending Conference to meet with us and get to know members who may be new colleagues for you! We will have a short business meeting to inform you of UCD's offerings at Conference, and to report on the success of our February 13 workshop on open access.
Led by Helen Clements, Associate Professor, Oklahoma State University
Helen Clements is a native of Elk City and earned her BA in English at Oklahoma State University sometime after the end of the Dark Ages. She received her library degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and went on to earn degrees in cultural anthropology at Texas Tech University and the University of Texas, Austin.
Helen has worked in a variety of library settings: she was an undergrad student at OSU; an information desk librarian at OU, a librarian at the Southwest Collection at Texas Tech, a librarian in the state University in Oaxaca, Mexico, a graduate library assistant at the Benson Latin American Collection at UT, and the library manager at the Public Utility Commission of Texas. Her current adventure in librarianship is in research and instruction services at OSU-Stillwater, a job she loves because she has wonderful colleagues and enjoys learning about others’ research interests.
