Session Description

Two speakers--Judie Matthews of ODL will teach the website for accessing State of Oklahoma online publications; Robbie Sittel of the University of North Texas will teach the FDsys and Catalog of Government Publications for accessing federal government publications.

Session Objective

To teach the basic entry points to online State of Oklahoma and federal agency publications websites and how to search them.

Judie Matthews

Judie Matthews received her BA in Letters and MLIS from the University of Oklahoma. She has been with the Oklahoma Department of Libraries since 2012, where she began in the State Archives. In January 2015, Judie became the State Publications Librarian. She previously worked as an Indigenous Art Librarian at OU. Judie is a Certified Archivist, and is active with Society of Southwest Archivists and Oklahoma Library Association.

Robbie Sittell

Robbie Sittell received her MLS from UNT in 2005 and currently serves as the Government Information Librarian and Head of the Eagle Commons Library at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Before returning to UNT in June 2014 Robbie spent 8 years as Government Information and Research Librarian in Tulsa City-County Library's Research Center.
