Diversity Beyond Color: Challenging Librarians to Think Beyond Social Constructions
2:45-3:45 pm
Sponsored by SRRT

Session Description

What is the meaning of diversity? How is this meaning applied to library customers? What can we do to dismantle the traditional meaning of this word and incorporate contemporary understandings? Join us in an interactive program with speaker and audience participation as we discuss this subjective term within the context of Oklahoma librarianship. Specific attention is given to "library system(s) thinking", language and current day identities that impact how we serve our customers.
