Session Description

A panel of librarians who check-out non-traditional material like seeds or cake pans will share how they successfully planned, promoted and maintained their lending programs and how these programs help under-served populations and the environment. Participants are encouraged to share their own non-traditional lending experiences or ideas.

Session Objective

  1. To go home with a strategy for lending non-traditional items from determining which items to lend to how to maintain material.
  2. To share ideas about how this type of lending can promote socially responsible objectives.
