The Good, the Great, and the Unfriendly

Tuesday, April 24, 2018
11:15 AM – 12:15 PM
Oklahoma Ballroom South

Most libraries today need friends groups, for advocacy, for fund raising, for programs, and for volunteers. But friends groups can be challenging to start and to work with. This program, drawing on the experience of Sally Gardner Reed, former Executive Director of United for Libraries, will offer tested advice on the dos and don'ts for getting your friends group going properly and what to do when problems arise. Come prepared to share your success stories, headaches, and your great ideas.

Presented by: Wayne Hanway
Sponsored by: Friends of Libraries in Oklahoma
Areas of interest: Friends groups, Outreach, Budgets, Management
