Guerrilla Storytime

Tuesday, April 24, 2018
8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Oklahoma Ballroom South

This open-mic session equips youth services staff with concrete and practical tools to integrate into their early literacy programs. A facilitator reads off a challenge, and audience members get up to share their best tricks. Challenges range from behavior management, activities, songs, rhymes, program delivery, etc. This guerilla training method was created by Cory Eckert and pioneered in Guerrilla Storytimes facilitated by the Storytime Underground. Guerrilla Storytimes are held at regional library conferences across the country.
