Uncharted Territory: Pioneering Programs

Tuesday, April 24, 2018
11:15 AM – 12:15 PM
Executive Room

How one horse touched a City. The simple project of placing a public art piece outside the library became a program that drew a community together. The program will bring awareness to audience members of the many aspects of a project and learning how to engage all ages and various stakeholders during the planning and implementation. Everyone can do something to be part of the adventure--a public art project for teens, from community engagement through funding to project preparation and installation to naming the horse. This program is a continuation of the Painting With Picasso public art presentation at last year's OLA conference in Norman.
