First Amendment Rights for Children

Wednesday, April 25, 2018
11:15 AM – 12:15 PM
Oklahoma Ballroom North

This panel discussion, drawing on audience participation, will explore how we serve children in the library. Are children entitled to the same First Amendment rights as adults, and if so, do we honor those rights? Should we judge them in their book selections, browsing, or questions? Should we respect their diversity and their cultural values? Come prepared to share in the ideas and experiences of our colleagues.
