Understanding and Engaging Immigrant Library Users

Wednesday, April 25, 2018
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Directors Row 4

In this session, we address the term “mixed status” families and the current events affecting them in Oklahoma and other spaces.   We will discuss previous and contemporary legalities that can, and will, shift the geographic location of this “mixed status” group.  Participants will learn how to serve this growing community as we all wait for a decision.  In addition, we will discuss social influences and how librarians can help shift this narrative.
