Business Meeting - January 21, 2003 - On-line Chat Room

Present in Chat Room : Cathy Blackman, Cameron (Secretary); Melissa
Huffman, Rose State (Chair); Pat McCall, TCC; Michele Seikel, OSU; Elaina
Stewart, OPSU

The meeting was called to order by Melissa at 1:45 pm.

I. Conference

Basket - The theme for this years fund-raiser basket will be "IN A
JAM". Melissa will provide a basket with jams and jellies she has made
this year. We will also add stress-relief products such as aroma-therapy
bath products. The basket will be in Spring greens and yellows. Elaina and
Cathy will help arrange the basket. Cathy agreed to send an e-mail
requesting others to help with basket arrangement.

Buried Treasures - Melissa will contact the speakers to remind them to
bring visual aids.

Pre-conference - Melissa will contact Barbara King and Joan Singleton
about participating on the panel.

II. Workshop updates

Laura Gassaway would like to come to Oklahoma to present a copyright
workshop. Her fees are $1200, plus expenses. She agreed to do two
workshops on back-to-back days in OKC and Tulsa for $2000 if we decide to
go that route. Even in light of the current travel budget situation, all
were in agreement that we should continue with plans for the workshop
because Ms. Gassaway would probably be a tremendous draw. Cathy suggested
an interactive video session for the workshop with Ms. Gassaway in one
Oklahoma location and the session being broadcast to various parts of the
state. However, the unpredictability of the technology might rule out this
possibility. Ms. Gassaway would have to agree to this arrangement before
further discussion continues on this idea.

III. H.323 potential for meetings

The possibility of having meeting via this format was enthusiastically
received by those who had not heard the plans previously.
