OASLMS Auction Committee

The OASLMS Auction committee is responsible for procuring and organizing material for two auctions each year.  One auction is held during the OASLMS Social at Encyclo-Media and the other is held during the Oklahoma Library Association's annual conference. Details for each auction are outlined below.

Encyclo-Media

The committee works to obtain the auction material, organize the set up of the items and bid forms at the OASLMS Social, assist in the collection of payment at the social, and clean-up of any items that did not sell immediately following the auction.  The donated items for this auction have typically been autographed books, posters, library memorabilia, author visits, artwork, and any other items suitable for auction. The material usually comes from local, state, and national donations and committee members work throughout the year collecting items for this auction. 

Oklahoma Library Association Annual Conference

Another auction is held during the Oklahoma Library Association's annual conference.  For the past several years, the items for this auction have been theme baskets that are gathered and donated by OLA divisions, round tables, and committees.  The auction committee is responsible for setting up the baskets and organizing the bid sheets before the all conference event.
