Ruth Brown Memorial Award Winner: The First Amendment: Where Would American Culture Be Without It?: Allied Arts and Humanities Council of Bartlesville and The Bartlesville Public Library

  • SRRT had a booth at the Women's Bold Journeys Conference in order to raise awarness of the Ruth Brown Memorial Award
  • developed poster that was used at that conference and subsequent OLA poster presentations.

    • Library Services to Senior Citizens with speakers Dr. Connie Van Fleet, Christina Owen and Anita Roesler.
    • Table Talk on “How do we effectively serve customers with mental health problems?” Cosponsored with Ethics Committee.
    • Poster session: One of the Ruth Brown Memorial Award nominee projects, “Docs, Kids & Early Literacy: OUHSC’s Reach Out and Read Program” also presented their findings.

    • “Recruiting for Diversity,” a co-sponsored program with the Recruitment and Retention Committee with a speaker from the Chicago Library System.
    • Table Talk, co-sponsored with Ethics Committee: “Un-deserved or Underserved: Bringing Non-Users Into the Library” with SRRT’s own Karen Antell of the OU Engineering Library facilitating the discussion.
    Ruth Brown Memorial Award Winner: the Robert M. Bird Health Sciences Library for their Reach Out and Read program which helped provide books for young children through their visits to participating doctors.
