David Oberhelman Memorial Scholarship

David OberhelmanAt the 2018 annual conference, colleagues from across the state honored the memory of David Oberhelman by posthumously naming David as a Library Legend and giving money to the OLA Endowment to endow the David Oberhelman Memorial Scholarship for the OLA Gold Leadership Institute. The scholarship will be awarded every three years to provide funding for an active OLA member to attend OLA Gold, starting with the 2019 Institute. Learn more . . .

The Sequoyah Committees are pleased to announce the winners of the Sequoyah Book Awards for 2018:

  • Children’s: Roller Girl by Victoria Jamieson
  • Intermediate: The War that Saved My Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley
  • High School: The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis

The Donna Norvell Award winner is The Legend of Rock Paper Scissors by Drew Daywalt and Adam Rex.
