Date: Wednesday, April 29
Time: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Sponsor: University and College Division (UCD)
Co-Sponsor: Vendor Relations Committee

Since electronic books are the "wave of the now", academic, special and public libraries large and small are making them available for their patrons. What do our patrons want? What kind of platform is being used by our type of Library? What kinds of books are available? How do patrons learn to use the platform? Our preconference will cover three of the available platforms--EBSCO for academic libraries, Overdrive (the platform for the OK Virtual Library), and the new Amigos platform currently being created.  Presenters will discuss what resources a library needs to build a platform, and what issues and decisions are involved. A question and answer session will follow.
