Let's Go Clubbing: A School and Public Library Partnership
8:30-9:30 am
Sponsored by OKSL

Session Description

A middle school librarian and a public teen services librarian will describe how they have partnered to improve both their library programs. They will discuss their middle school book club specifically and share what they have learned in the process of beginning and maintaining a book club that has gown from 10 members to 70 members in four years. They will describe ways they have promoted Teen Tech Week, Teen Read Week, School Library Month, and Summer Reading programs. They will show how they have recently incorporated STEM programs in both their libraries. They will also share ways to form other community partnerships. Audience questions and discussion will be encouraged.
