Using EBSCO to Grow Your Library

Session Description

EBSCO has been around for many years. This database has many components that can benefit patrons from Kindergarten through adulthood. Come and learn all the different ways EBSCO can work to help you grow your library by giving patrons the research tools they need to be successful.

Session Objective

To teach librarians how to effectively use EBSCO in their libraries to promote research, relationships and growth.

Charlotte Nance is librarian at the Minnie R. Slief Library in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, a branch of the Western Plains Library System. Charlotte has 24 years experience as a school librarian and holds National Board Certification as well as a BA in English and an MS in school library. Charlotte has been using EBSCO since its inception in school libraries in the 90s and has used it for her own and colleagues' research projects as well as research paper assistance for both elementary and high school research projects.
