Cooking the Books

Wednesday, April 25, 2018
8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Diplomat Room

Everyone loves to eat and we know the best way to get patrons to attend a library program is to include food. So why not make food the main focus of the program? Librarian Donna Houck will share program ideas successful at the Norman Public Library that combine food and literacy AND promote your collection resources. Many of these programs such as the Cookbook Book Discussion, Eat Smart series and Cookbook Swap and Shop require very little money! Providing programs, as well as collection resources, that help patrons eat happily and healthfully meets an important community need.
