The most recent Leadership Institute was held in the Fall of 2013 at the Noble Foundation in Ardmore (see photo above) and was the fourth sponsored by the Leadership Committee.  The first Institute was held in 2004 with the second following in 2007 and the third in 2010.

What Have Past Participants Said?

Through OLA Gold, I developed a network of colleagues across the state in public, school and academic libraries and gained a knowledge of leadership styles and honed my own skills which has helped me both on the job and with my OLA involvement.
Sarah Robbins, 2012-2013 OLA President

The 2004 Institute made it possible for me to grow as a librarian by giving me the skills I needed to chair or co-chair several OLA committees in the years following the Institute. This leadership institute is crucial for developing leaders in our library community.
Marcia Johnson, Miami Public Library Director
