Banned Books Week 2014 Competition
September 21-27, 2014 was "ALA Banned Books Week: Challenging our Freedom to Read". The OLA Intellectual Freedom Committee launched a Photo Competition of Banned Book Displays. The response from Oklahoma libraries was amazing, with imaginative entries submitted by libraries of all types from every part of the state.
Here are the winners as well as the "honorable mentions".
The winners had their photos published in the Oklahoma Librarian and surrounding newspapers and received a challenged book for their library’s age range.
View all of the Photo Competition entries.
