Who was Mildred Laughlin?

While a professor at the University of Oklahoma, Mildred Laughlin founded the Festival of Books and created the Young Adult Sequoyah Book Award. These are only two of her many outstanding achievements as an educator and librarian. She promoted children's and young adult literature as a joy and an art worthy of literary criticism. Learn more about Mildred Laughlin at Oklahoma Library Legends.
