Logo of Oklahoma LibrarianOklahoma Librarian was for many years (1950-2018) the official, bi‐monthly publication of the Oklahoma Library Association. Its principal purpose was to “promote library services and leadership” and to keep the OLA membership informed of the Association’s business, its financial status, and the policies and actions of its officers and committees.  OLA encouraged the publication by Association members and others of articles of interest to Oklahoma libraries and librarians. Oklahoma Librarian strove over the decades to keep its readers informed of new developments in the broad areas of librarianship and the information sciences. To this end, it always encouraged contributors to relate their topics not only to the state, but also to the regional and/or national scenes.

The opinions expressed in the Oklahoma Librarian by contributors did not necessarily reflect those of the Oklahoma Library Association.
