OLA 2020 Annual Conference is Going Virtual

April 17, 2020

In light of ongoing developments surrounding COVID-19, the Oklahoma Library Association Executive Board has decided to transition this year’s annual conference to a virtual-only conference, scheduled for July 29-31.

Register here for the conference.

Our decision to move this annual event online was not taken lightly. OLA has been closely monitoring updates and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization, as well as state and local governments. We feel that the community-centered spirit of OLA is reflected by this decision to support public health initiatives and maintain the safety of our attendees, presenters, and vendors, as well as the larger community.

The Conference Planning Committee is working to craft the best possible virtual experience. Please stay tuned for further announcements and plan to engage with the Oklahoma library community from where you are!

If you have questions regarding OLA 2020, please check out the conference FAQ page. Decisions and conversations are occurring on a regular basis, and we will continue to keep the membership apprised of conference news via social media, email, and our website. Please be patient with us as we work through this unprecedented situation.

We appreciate everyone’s willingness to remain positive and supportive as OLA continues to work on providing quality professional development to our members. We look forward to seeing you in July!
